Document Description
Vegetation will be removed along gas transmission pipelines L-400 and 401 that bisect Putah Creek and two unnamed tributaries located on the Yolo/Solano County lines. Vegetation removal is required by the California Public Utilities Commission and the Federal Department of Transportation in order to survey and inspect these gas pipelines for leaks, and prevent roots from future damage of pipelines. Vegetation will be removed along a 15 foot wide swath (7.5 feet on each side of pipeline) for approximately 800 linear feet with the exception of Putah Creek riparian area. Three feet of vegetation is permitted for removal on either side of Putah Creek for approximately 25 feet from ordinary high water mark (OHM).
