Document Description
Install two new security gates at the park entrance and the campgrounf entrance and replace one security gate at the access road at Indian Grinding Rock State Historic Park for visitor and resource protection. Work for new gates will augue six 36" diameter X 60" depth holes, install four new steel posts, mount the gates, install steel bushing for removable center posts and fill holes with concrete for stability. Work for the gate replacement will remove the existing wooden gate, augur 36" diameter X 42" depth, install two new steel posts in the existing post holes, fill with concrete for stability, and mount the gate.

Project consists of replacement of existing structures where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replace; construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures included as "construction or installation of gates" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities, in accordance with CCR 15300.4; and minor public or private alterations in the condition of land, water, and /or vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees except for forestry or agricultural purposes.
