Document Description
A temporary emergency Hazardous Waste Treatment Permit has been granted to Edwards Air Force Base (Edwards) to treat hazardous waste by chemical neutralization. The hazardous waste to be treated consists of 45 compressed gas cylinders containing chlorine trifluoride, oxygen difiuoride, and perchloryl fluoride compounds used as rocket propellant. The largest items contain 1130 pounds of propellant each. Total weight of the items is 18,418 pounds. The items have been in storage at Edwards.
