Document Description
The DWR executed an agreement between the BWD and AVEK, DRWD, KCWA, and MWD (collectively Buyers) to store and convey up to 15,201 acre-feet of water made available by BWD through groundwater exchange and crop idling of rice acreage to Buyers service areas. The agreement was executed July 27, 2010. Crop idling activities were completed in September 2010 and all transfer water has been exported from the Delta. Subsequent to executing the agreement, the parties agreed to revise the calculation of idled acreage and transfer water made available resulting in a total of 15,352 acre feet of water made available (10,281feet crop idling) through the 2010 transfer program. The amendment is an administrative change in the classification of water exported at the SWP Banks Pumping Plant only and does not reflect a physical change in the specific lands idled or the total amount of water exported from the Delta.
