Document Description
The 2009 Housing Element Update identified that the City has sufficient existing land zoned at various densities to accommodate the City's Regional Housing Needs Allocation of 5,643 dwelling units. It was determined that the development of the 5,643 dwelling units would not exceed the City's existing build-out or holding capacity or exceed the City's growth management program. Some of proposed goals, policies, and programs, if implemented, could increase the density for housing that would be authorized in several zoning districts. Other Policies and Programs have been developed to encourage development that would be affordable and to promote affordable housing.
