Reasons for Exemption
Per to Article 15302 of the CA Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The proposed project is part of the District's planned portable to permanent classroom (ORG funded) replacement program and involves negligible expansion of capacity and no increase in use, and is therefore, exempt from the provisions of CEQA. Per Article 15302 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) allows a "Class 2" categorical exemption for "replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure would be located in the same site as the structure replaced and will have substaintially the same purpose and capacity of the structure replaced.
