Document Description
The proposed project involves removing up to 5,000 cubic yards of sediment to restore the design capacity of the debris/sediment basin on site and enhance the riparian vegetation at the banks of the existing basin. Along with the sediment removal, the proposed project will involve the removal of plant material from the basin and south of the golf cart bridge and stabilizing the spillway and the banks of the creek underneath the golf cart bridge by installing one quarter ton grouted rip-rap. Restoring the design capacity of the basin will impact approximatley 2.50 acres of jurisdictional areas. The project will permanently impact 2.50 acres of jurisdictional areas, of which 0.30 scres are mature reparian willow habitat, in order to restore the debris/retention basin to its original capacity and to maintain it at that capacity.

The Goose Creek Golf Course Detention/Sediment Basins are existing facilities that have not been maintained for several years. They assist in providing flood control during high rainfall events and prevent flooding from occurring from the properties immediately adjacent to the basins and lowering the risk of damage as well.
