Document Description
As part of Phase II of the Fort Bragg Coastal Restoration and Trail Project, this project consists of implementation of a Removal Action Workplan for hot spot excavation in Operable Unit E at the former Georgia-Pacific Lumber Mill. The project consists of soil excavation and disposal of approx. 3,500 cubic yards of contaminated soils in a relatively small half acre area. confirmation samples will be collected during excavation to evaluate remaining site conditions; if testing warrants additional soil removal to achieve clean-up goals additional material will be removed. Excavation activities will require approx. 151 truckloads to move excavated soil and sediment to off site.
