Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2010-0392-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, the Town of Danville, for grading and fill along the banks of San Ramon Creek to repair erosion damage around the abutments of the Diablo Road Bridge and along the roadway, sidewalks, and a public overlook on West El Pintado Road. Major grading will be limited to 120 linear feet on both banks of San Ramon Creek and an additional 150 linear feet of the eastern bank downstream of the bridge. Minor grading will also be done to improve an existing 140-foot-long temporary access road on the western bank to provide equipment access to the channel from Front Street. Work will include excavation of the channel banks, extending from top of bank into the low-flow channel. The total area of construction will be ~ 0.44 acre, and the work area below the Ordinary High Water Mark will be ~ 0.29 acre. A total of 2,923 cubic yards of fill will be installed below the top of bank to return the banks back to their original grade and to prevent further erosion and potential undermining of the bridge abutments and supports for infrastructure.
