East Shafter Waterline Extension

The proposed project will extend Shafter's existing water service to the east side of SR 99 in order to provide domestic water service to existing commercial developments located within the Shafter city limits on the east side of the highway. The proposed project will include the installation of ~3,000 linear ft of 16 inch diameter water line and two, 2-inch diameter conduits for future installation of optical fiber cables from the west side of Zerker Road, east through a 28 inch diameter steel casing pipe placeed within a boring under the Union Pacific Railroad tracks and SR 99, north along an existing dirt farm road and vacant commercial property to the south side of Ledro Highway ~600 ft. Public utilitiy easement(s) (~30 ft wide) will be obtained for the project alignment.
