Document Description
This project seeks to reduce dangerous buildup of vegetation on 2 El Dorado County owned parcels within the Rubicon neighborhoods in the Meek Bay FPD. There are a total of 2 lots with .5 acres each, located side by side on Sierra Drive. Operations will be hand cut with either rubber tracked or end-lined removal of logs and rounds to the front of the lot for free firewood.

Reasons for Exemption
This project will be categorically exempt from CEQA due to the fact that only brush or small trees, and those specifically marked by RPF and permitted by TRPA, will be removed. No grading or excavation and only surface movement will occur. Further, there will be no economic usage of removed material. Cut brush will retain its root structure and re-sprout to reduce erosion. No SEZ work in this project. Chipped material will be broadcast, rounds left for free neighborhood firewood.
