Document Description
The applicant intends to alter the streambed by removing non-native vegetation from within a 54.40 acres site. The focus will be on arundo and tamarisk removal. Throughout most of the site, these two invasive species are found at a low concentration. There is an estimated 2.0 acre area of dense arundo that will involve mechanical removal techniques; otherwise removal will consist of hand work. initial removal will be conducted outside of the bird nesting season. Subsequent maintenance within the nesting season will include a biological monitoring component for least Bell's vireo and southwestern willow flycatcher.
