Document Description
The Applicant intends to alter 600 linear feet of Mission Creek by removing an existing 80 foot concrete apron, and re-configuring the bottom of the creek to allow steelhead passage. The 40 foot apron under the Tallant Street Bridge will not be removed, but an 8 foot wide by 18 inch deep, concrete low flow channel will be constucted in the apron below the bridge. An additional 1,550 cubic yards of rock, cobble and boulders will be imported and added. An existing 8 inch sewer line will be removed and replaced with a new PVC line under the creek bed immediately downstream of the bridge. The line will be encased in a concrete casing, and the entire structure will be buried no less than 12 inches below the low flow notch in the bridge apron. No native trees will be removed, and a total of 1,000 native plants will be added to the banks as part of the restoration.
