This substation supplies 480-volt power to twelve buildings/processes located throughout the treatment plant and is the oldest of the electrical switchboards that distribute 480-volt power. Substation No. 1 resides in an outdoor enclosure that is capable of supplying power from the primary PG&E electrical feed or from the District's back-up power generation system.
