Document Description
The proposed project would involve seismic retrofit and upgrade construction work to ensure seismic safety and reliability of the City & County of San Francisco's supplementary fire-fighting water supply and pumping capabilities; removal and replacement of old pipes, machinery and equipment; and installation of modern equipment and machinery related to the operation of the existing CCSF Auxiliary Water Supply System (AWSS). Seismic upgrade, repair and modernization work would involve all the five existing water storage and pumping facilities of the AWSS, but would not extend to the below-ground AWSS distribution pipe network.
