The project is situated in and adjacent to El Corte de Madera Creek Open Space Preserve, a 2,817 acre public preserve located in unincorporated San Mateo County, adjacent to the Town of Woodside, generally west of Skyline Boulevard (Highway 35), between Swett Road and Bear Gulch Road East. The project area encompasses a new staging and parking area between Gates CM03 and CM04, new trail aligments and decommissioning of abandoned trail and old logging roads in the eastern area of the Preserve, installation of "No Parking" signs along Skyline Boulevard between Swett Road and Bear Gulch Road, and relocation of a Skyline Boulevard trail/pedestrian crossing to a new location south of Gate CM02.
