Document Description
The project would illumninate the existing multipurpose athletic field at Kennedy High School by installation of overhead lighting on light poles. Illumination would increase the number of hours that the field could be used in the evenings. The proposed hours of use are up to 10PM, although for many uses the ending time would be earlier. No other athletic fields are proposed for illumination at this time. The project also would include installation of a new transformer, piers for the light poles, & minor pavement repair. A press box & permanent speaker system would also be installed & new 1,200 sf restroom/concession stand/storage building would be constructed. New parking lot lighting would replace the existing parking lot lighting. No changes in school operations are proposed. Construction would commence in Fall or Winter 2009.
