Document Description
The City of Santa Maria proposes to amend (update) the present Housing Element of the City's General Plan, in accordance with Section 65588 of the California Government Code. The proposed Housing Element sets forth the City's policy regarding the development, maintenance, and improvement of housing for all economic segments of the incorporated area. The proposed 2009 Housing Element reflects existing land use policy, and would not change the location, character, timing or amount of new development planned for the incorporated area. The Housing Element is a policy document and does not convey entitlements for construction.
