Document Description
This project involves making emergency repairs to a bridge crossing the South Fork of the Eel River which provides access to CAL FIRE's Eel River Conservation Camp (an essential services facility). Caltrans and CAL FIRE engineers have confirmed critical scour defects at Pier 3 which require immediate treatment. The project will place approximately 100 "A-Jack" units (24" pre-formed concrete structures) around the base of Pier 3 under the direction of a structural engineer. All work will be done by hand at a time when the river is at its lowest point.
