Document Description
At the Upper Spring Road Crossing, work will include removal of the old crossing (including 2,000 sq. feet of concrete and the 3' wide x 35' long cement culvert), excavation of a trench up to 24 inches deep and 8 feet wide long across the channel bed to relocate/ install the water line under the new crossing, excavation of a trench approximately 5 feet deep and 4.5 feet wide along the uphill side of the articulated concrete block mat filled with 3/4 "gravel to anchor, excavation in the crossing removal location approximately 8 inches deep and 12 feet wide to allow for the installation of ACB mat for the new crossing, filling of the ACB excavation area with approximately 6-8" of gravel underneath the ACB, addition of gravel and application of grade to the approaches to the new ACB mat, and the addition of large rocks (approx. 2'-4' in size) in the channel to create downstream riffles and resting pools.
