Document Description
The current crossing for the PCT/Tahoe Rim Trail (hiker and equestrian use) is dangerous and creating ecological problems in that horses are creating an alternative crossing nearby. This project would realign the trail to the "new" crossing and close and restore the current crossing. Work will include relocation of in situ rocks within the drainage to create a USFS class-3 non-motorized trail (two-feet wide made entirely of native materials). This will also increase the stability of the banks of the creek. The work will extend over a period of 4-6 days and be performed by conservation work group.
