Document Description
The Redway CSD is proposing to improve effeciency of an existing filtration gallery, consisting of two 16-inch diameter perforated PVC laterals connected to a 12-inch PVC pipe, that conveys water to their WTP. The lateral ends are 30 feet from the South Fork Eel River's "low-water channel," with a buried bedrock dam located between the laterals and the edge of the low water channel. Recent drought conditions have substantially reduced water flow in the river and the Redway CSD is not able to operate the WTP at design capacity.
