DWR, Placer County Water Agency (PCWA), and Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWDSC) will execute an agreement for the storage and conveyance of water transferred from PCWA to Sand Diego County Water Agency (SDCWA), through releases on the American River and into Folsom Reservoir for the subsequent release to the State Water Project, and delivery to MWDSC.

Reasons for Exemption
The agreement provides for storage and conveyance of water transferred from Placer County Water Agency to San Diego County Water Agency, a member unit of Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, a State Water Project contractor. PCWA filed a Petition for Temporary Change with the State Water Resource Control Board on May 14, 2009, pursuant to Water Code Article 1725 et. seq. The SWRCB approved the transfer on July 20, 2009. In accordance with Water Code Section 1729, temporary changes filed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 10.5, Article 1 of the Water Code (Temporary Changes) are exempt.
