Document Description
The proposed project would remove sediment from the Atascadero Creek channel immediately adjacent to and under the Portola Road bridge. Approximately 440-620 cubic yards of sediment would be removed using an excavator or similar equipment to scoop and lift the material into a truck or place the material in an upland stockpile location for disposal. The stream channel would be contoured to be relatively smooth and free of potholes, depressions, or other irregular features. Approximately 0.10 acres of willows and other riparain vegetation would be removed or trimmed, and the stream banks would be revegetated using locally-obtained riparian shrubs, trees and cuttings. All work would be done when the site is dry and devoid of surface flow.
