The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to perform maintenance work on culverts at 3 locations: (1) State Route 89 at postmile 21.9-a cured-in-place liner would be installed inside the existing 18" diameter corrugated metal pipe (CMP) culvert; (2) State Route 89 at postmile 22.1-a cured-in-place liner would be installed outside the existing 24" diameter CMP culvert; and (3) State Route 89 at postmile 22.4-the existing 18" diamter CMP culvert would be removed and replaced with a new 18" diamter CMP culvert. Clearing and grubbing of vegetation within the affected drainages would extend approximately 5-10' from the ends of each culvert to allow for adequate access by construction crews.
