Document Description
This project is a 25 acre fuel modification project on Riverside County Parks Department Lawler Lodge group campground. CAL FIRE Inmate Crews will had cut brush and small diameter hardwoods and conifers that create fuel ladders from the forest floor to the tree canopy above. This project will capture areas along highway 243 that the USFS was unable to treat under the North Fork fuel reduction project. In areas where access allows slash will be chipped on site and hauled away by private contractors. In areas inaccessible to vehicles slash will be hand piled and burned at a later date.
