Document Description
The Applicant impacted Rathbun Creek and associated riparian vegetation adjacent to the Big Bear Mountain Resorts auxiliary parking lot. During routine snow plowing activities within the parking lot, snow, upland soil, road base, and other debris entered Rathbun Creek and associated riparian vegetation, consisting of Pacific willow (Salix lasiandra). Pacific willow were impacted by the snow plowing activities, specifically branches were either bent or broken, roots were exposed, and other trees were completely uprooted. Approximately 15,840 square feet, or 0.36 acres of Rathbun Creek and associated riparian vegetation were impacted b the snow plowing activities. SAA # 1600-2009-0052-R6.
