Document Description
The project is a proposal for statewide regulations to establish or amend the levels of efficiency required for televisions which are not covered by federal appliance efficiency standars. The required new efficiency standards apply to newly manufactured products and are attainable through normal manufacturing processes. No material changes in how televisions are manufactured or constructed are expected to result from these new regualtions. However it is expected that there will be reduction of up to 30% in the use of mercury-containing flourescent lamps used in the more efficient Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) televisions.
