Document Description
50-year permit for the open-pit extraction of approximately 1,000,000 tons per year of aggregate (anticipated 30,000,000 tons total production) in two phases. Phase 1 (consisting of three sub-phases) will occur on ~176 acres in the eastern portion of the proposed mining site while the subsequent Phase 2 (consisting of 3 sub-phases) will occur over a 30 year period on about 252 acres to the west. Agriculture, open water, and open space/habitat are proposed as the end uses for the project site after reclamation is complete, with about 253 acres of the site's current 265 acres of prime farmland returned to prime agricultural use.
