Document Description
The following project description is intended to provide agency staff and members of the public with an overview of the major elements of the Project. Building Program: The project contemplates retaining the existing office buildings and adding approximately 757,536 gross square feet (gsf) of new floor area at the Project Site. Parking: New development at the Project Site would occur in areas currently improved and used for surface parking and outdoor recreational space. Alternative Transportation: The Project proposes to provide a number of amenities to support the use of alternative transportation, including long/short term bicycle parking, shower/locker facilities, electric vehicle charging stations, motorcycle parking, preferential parking for car pool vehicles, and a pedestrian pathway providing a link to an adjacent future Sonoma Marin Rail Transit (SMART) station proposed at the southeast corner of Redwood Boulevard and Rush Landing Road. Utilities and Sustainability Technology: The Project has been designed with the goal of achieving carbon neutral building operations. To achieve this goal, the Project incorporate a number of design features and technologies intended to conserve and generate energy, recover and reuse on-site generated organic wastes, and conserve, treat and reuse water. Recreation Facilities & Landscaping: The project proposes to provide a variety of recreation, community, and landscaping amenities. Rental & Affordable Housing: The project includes the development of 150 multi-family residential rental units in a vertical mixed-use configuration (e.g., residential above retail/office).
