Document Description
The Gold Run Pipeline Phase IV Improvements project includes the extension and replacement of ~ 5,880 linear ft of pipeline, relocation of the inlet facilities upstream near the Monte Vista Water Treatment Plant (MVWTP), a new Pressure Sustaining Valve (PSV), and incorporation of a hydroelectric power turbine into the existing pipeline system. The new pipeline would consist primarily of 36 inch ductile iron pipe. Replacement of the Gold Run pipeline would include replacing and extending existing pipeline in Gold Run Road and replacement of pipeline to the south of I-80 and the Union Pacific Railroad tracks. The existing Gold Run pipe inlet does not have an appropriate overflow structure or an area to discharge water if an overflow were to occur. A new pipeline would be constructed within Lincoln Road, Ridge Road, and potentially within the driveway up to the MVWTP, and the Boardman Canal from the MVS upstream to the MVWTP would be left in service to provides the conveyance of spill water form the intake at the MVWTP to the MVS.
