- Document Description
- The Project consists of various improvements to the Pinole-Hercules WPCP necessary to provide full secondary treatment for influent flows up to 20 million gallons per day (mgd), to discharge treated effluent up to 13.9 mgd to the Deep Water Outfall, and to limit use of the Emergency Outfall to flows in excess of 13.9 mgd. The Project will include construction of a new influent pump station/headworks facility and a new Solids Handling Facility, along with upgrades to the secondary treatment facilities , electrical facilities, and effluent pump stations. The Project generally involves site preparation, grading, excavation, backfilling, building construction, and installation of pipelines within the WPCP deed line. All proposed improvements will occur within the existing developed footprint of the WPCP site and no in-water construction activities will occur as part of the Project.
