Document Description
The Pinole-Hercules Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) would undergo various facility improvements, including new secondary clarifiers, influent and effluent pump stations, aeration tanks, a new effluent pipeline for discharge at the Rodeo Sanitary District, and improvements to the existing outfall. The existing shallow water outfall would be abandoned. In addition, the existing corporation yard would be relocated to Pinole Shores Drive, between the Atichson Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad tracks and San Pablo Avenue. Upon completion, wet-weather capacity would be 20 MGD. The project also includes an option that flows from the City of Hercules could be directed to the West County WPCP via a new pipeline, with the City of Pinole flows continuing to be treated at the existing plant.
