Document Description
The Project includes construction and operation of a 250-megawatt maximum wind energy generation facility. Major components of the Project include up to 250 wind turbine generators, up to three (3) electrical substations, meteorological towers, one (1) operation and maintenance facility, and up to six (6) concrete batch plants. Grading for the project will excavate, contour, and place fill in a portion of several unnamed ephemeral tributaries and Cottonwood Creek. Project components that will occur in California Department of Fish and Game (CDFG) jurisdictional areas include eight (8) culverted road crossings, 48 at-grade road crossings, and excavating and backfilling trenches for underground electrical lines at 13 locations. Fill material will be placed into approximately 2,016 linear feet of CDFG jurisdictional ephemeral drainage (approximately 15.9 acres of permanent disturbance, and 50,303 cubic yards of fill). An additional 14,501 linear feet (approximately 34.5 acres) will be temporarily disturbed during construction. The CDFG is issuing the Streambed Alteration Agreement referenced above as a Responsible Agency under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
