Document Description
The applicant is requesting changes in zone classification to incorporate the Wind Energy (WE) Combining District to the base district on about 4,584 acres of a 8,300-acre site, in order to allow for the construction of up to 250 wind turbine generators that would generate up to about 250 megawatts of energy, service roads, a power collection system, communication cables, overhead and underground transmission and collection liens, electrical switchyards, up to three project substations, meteorological towers, one operations and maintenance facility, up to ten temporary construction lay-down areas, and up to sex temporary concrete batch plants. The batch plants are requested under conditional use permits to facilitate the project construction.
