Document Description
The project is a Major Use Permit and Reclamation Plan for a surface mining operation that will produce ~191,000 cy of Decomposed Granite. The project site is located on Alpine Boulevard, east of the Alpine Boulevard and Dunbar Lane intersection in the Alpine Community Planning Group, within unincorporated San Diego County. The extraction process will create three nearly level pads (Pads 3, 4, and 5). Operations will be conducted using conventional earth moving equipment and will continue for ~10 yrs. Material will be extracted and screened and then trucked off site to satisfy the needs of construction projects. Following completion of excavation operations, the site will be reclaimed in phases and will then be utilized as a whole sale box tree nursery.
