Document Description
The Via Princessa extension will be one of the primary east-west arterials through the City of Santa Clarita. The limits for the project area at this time are for the extension of Via Princessa from Golden Valley Road on the west to Rainbow Glen Drive on the east. The project is about 1,925 m or 1.2 miles in length. The proposed roadway is designated as a Major Arterial Highway per the City of Santa Clarita's Master Plan of Arterial Highways. The proposed roadway will be a six-lane facility with 4.2 m (14 feet) raised landscape median, 3 m (10 feet) sidewalk on each side and a 5 m (16 feet) 2-lane bike path along the south side. The median lanes will be 3.6 m (12 feet) wide, the middle lanes 3.4 m (11 feet) and the right lanes 3.6 m (12 feet). The typical Right of Way (W) width will be 36.6 m (120 feet).
