Document Description
The project is for a Coastal Development Permit (w/Hearing) to allow the construction of a new 6,462 sf SFD with a finished floor elevation of 13 ft and with 4,315 sf of decking and 449 sf of attached accessory storage with exterior access only, construction of a new 627 sf attached two car garage, a new tennis court with a new 197 sf cabana, and new landscaping. The proposed project would not require any grading or site alteration beyond trenching or drilling for pylon supports or footings. A total of 17 trees would be removed as a part of this project. Also proposed is the relocation of the existing 2,628 sf historic single-family dwelling (SFD) currently located on the southern ocean-front portion of the property to the northern portion of the property to the northern portion of the property nearest to the El Estero / Carpinteria Slough. The relocated structure would have a finished floor elevation of 9 ft and would have ~ 232 sf of the existing structure removed and have ~1,021 sf of new unenclosed decking constructed. A portion of the structure wouls also have a change of use from a SFD to a two story accessory structure, including 572 sf of the first floor for a garage/storage area, 50 sf of storage, and 574 sf of the second floor for a hobby room along with 76 sf of additional new decking. Further proposed development includes the off-site relocation or demolition of the guest cottage, tennis cabana, caretaker's cottage and detached garage and the demolition of the existing tennis court and driveway.
