(a) An amendment to the Metropolitan Bakersfield General Plan from Map Code R-EA (Extensive Agriculture) to RR (Rural Residential-Minimum 2.5 Gross Acres/Unit; (b) a change in zone classification from A (Extensive Agriculture) to E (2 1/2) RS (Estate-2 1/2 acres-Residential Suburban Combining); and (c) Exclusion of 83 acres from the boundaries of Agricultural Preserve No. 14. The applicant is requesting the change in map code designation and zoning to facilitate subdivision of the project site into 13 six acre single family lots. As proposed, water supply and sewage disposal for the development would be provided via private wells and septic tanks. Access would be provided via a 40 ft private access easement off of Round Mountain Road which is designated as an arterial/major highway by the Circulation Element of the Metropolitan Bakersfield General Plan.
