- The proposed project is an expansion of an existing legal non-conforming dairy from 685 animal units (610 Holstein milk cows plus 100 support stock) to a maximum of 2,855 total animal units (2,000 Holstein milk cows plus 1300 support stock) on 72 acres of a 393 acre site in the AE-40 (Exclusive Agricutural - 4 acre minimum) Zone. The dairy facility will house the milking herd and the support stock in shaded freestalls and open corrals with flushed lanes. The balance of the site would remain in current agricutural production as farmable acres of wheat/corn silage (double cropped).
