Document Description
Hale Engineering on behalf of Sun Eco Energy, Inc. submitted grading plans proposing to permit 7 ponds for algae growth on ~+/-27 acres of ground located west of the East Highline Canal. The remaining +/- 130 acres east of the East Highline Canal underwent a vegetative baseline study to address relevant topics associated with the disturbed area. The disturbed portion of the +/- 130 acre site will be revegetated and remain undeveloped. Sun Eco Farms intends to line and operate the existing 7 raceway ponds for algae growth. The widths of the ponds vary between 122 ft and 148 ft. Depths of the ponds acre ~3 ft deep. In addition to the raceway ponds, 2 holding ponds, 3 ft deep, are proposed to temporarily store water during the transfer process.
