Hale Engineering on behalf of Sun Eco Energy, Inc. is proposing a zone change on a portion of an existing aquaculture facility that has been in operation nearly 40 years. The entire site of the aquacultural facility is comprised of 406 acres. The zone change from A-2 (General Agriculture to AM-2 (Agricultural related Medium Industrial) is proposed on a +/- 15.91 acre site, that will be confirgured from a concurrently processed Lot Line Adjustment #240.
It is the intent of the applicant to construct a 30,000 sf warehouse, field analysis laboratory and office building on the +/- 15.91 site. Algae will be transferred to the AM-2 site from the adjacent aqua-cultural facility for increased algae growth by feeding it organic materials.
