Document Description
NOTE: Review Per Lead
The proposed project would assist in improving water quality, and would support the City's efforts to comply with current and future stormwater regulations for Santa Monica Bay beaches, including the Santa Monica Bay Beaches Wet-Weather Bacteria Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL). Phase I of the project would divert portions of wet-weather flow from the storm drain through a diversion system that would screen trash, sediment, and oil/grease, and then go to an underground tank (~1.25 MG). Stormwater stored in the tank would be pumped into a sewer and utimately go to Hyperion Treatment Plant. Phase II will implement on-site stormwater disinfection and beneficial reuse of water for irrigation at a future date, thereby promoting water conservation.
