The enlargement of the Cartwright Groundwater Recharge and Flood Control Reservoir of Lakeside Irrigation Water District (the District), the Project, will involve the removal of ~1.2 million cubic yards of material from the Project site for the creation of about 700 acre ft of additional storage space for surplus and flood waters for groundwater recharge. The material removed from the Project site will be transported and used for improvements of State Route 198.
