Document Description
Planning Case 2011-165 Public Use Permit proposes development of 27.22 gross acres with a kindergarten through twelfth grade school to serve 1,000 full-time students (300 elementary, 300 middle, and 400 high school students) along with 200 students (125 elementary and 75 middle) who attend school two days per week for teacher directed instruction with three days at home, and 300 home-schooled students who not drive into school. The school includes nine buildings which include classrooms, administration office, library, gym, theatre, guard house, storage buildings and snack kiosk (approximately 109,125 square feet); and running track; and surface parking with approximately 176 parking spaces. Primary vehicular access would be provided at three ingress/egress locations on La Piedra Road, with a secondary vehicular access on Sherman road. The School Project would be developed in two phases. Phase 1 will include the construction of the classroom buildings, administrative office, library, guard house, and storage buildings, as well as driveways and parking areas and the outdoor play areas, basketball courts, running track, soccer field. Road improvements that would be complted during Phase 1 include construction of La Piedra Road (full width) along the School Project site frontage, construction of Sherman Road (half width) along the School Project site frontage and continuing south to Holland Road. Phase ll would include the construction of the gymnasium, theatre, and baseball fields. Public parking will be restricted on Sherman Road and La Piedra Road.
