Document Description
The City of Santa Clarita is preparing amendments to Chapters 15, 17 (the Unified Development Code or UDC) and 23 of the City's Municipal code. The City of Santa Clarita Planning Commission will review amendments to Chapter 17 while the City of Santa Clarita City Council will review amendments to Chapters 15 and 23 in addition to Chapter 17. Changes associated with the updates to the Municipal Code affect property citywide and will guide future development within the City of Santa Clarita. The changes are not anticipated to either directly, or indirectly, result in any future, foreseable development. All future development affected by these changes will be evaluated on a case by case basis to determine their impacts on the environment purusant to CEQA. There, the findings in this Initial Study relate only to the Municipal Code changes themselves.
