The proposed Blythe Airport Solar Project is a multi-phased, 100 MW, solar (photovoltaic [PV]) power plant that would be located on the northeast portion of the Blythe Municipal Airport grounds. The initial phase of the project consists of installing four, 5.1 MW PV arrays over 20 acres of the site; connecting the proposed power plant to the grid with a new ~4,000 ft, 35 kV, overhead power line supported by 8-9 wooden poles; installing a 3,200 sf maintenance building; and installing ancillary access and parking improvements. The complete project consists of installing PV arrays on 640 acres of the site.
