Document Description
The 2010 Amendment's primary purposes are to: i) add territory (the "Added Territory") to the Original Project Area (collectively, the Original Project Area and the Added Territory are referred to as the "Project Area"); ii) modify certain fiscal limits currently in place that affect implementation and administration of the Plan; iii) improve existing deleterious physical and economic conditions in the Added Territory, specifically, and the Project Area, generally; and iv) review and modify, as appropriate and necessary, the Plan's projects and programs list specific to the Original Project Area; all in accordance with California Community Redevelopment Law (CCRL; Health and Safety Code Section 33000, et seq.). Agency activities in the Added Territory might include, but are not limited to, the following: i) provision of affordable housing; ii) construction and/or rehabilitation of structures; iii) infrastructure upgrades; iv) economic development; and v) other improvements as permitted by the CCRL. While not proposed as specific projects at this time, these are possible activities that may be undertaken by the Agency within or for the benefit of the Added Territory over the 30-year effective life of the Plan, as it is proposed to be amended by the 2010 Amendment.
