Document Description
The project proposes to improve the mainline freeway and interchanges on I-405. The proposed project would relieve congestion and improve operational efficiency on I-405 between State Route (SR)-73 and Interstate 605 (I-605). The approximately 16 mile-long project corridor traverses the cities of Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach, Westminster, Garden Grove, Seal Beach, Los Alamitos, Long Beach, and the community of Rossmoor. The I-405 Improvement Project would add one GP lane in each direction on I-405 from Euclid Street to the I-605 interchange, plus add a tolled Express Lane in each direction of I-405 from SR-73 to SR-22 East.
