Document Description
This project will occur between July 1 and September 30, 2009. This project will dredge 2 inlet channels on the west side of the Feather River (the North channel and the South channel) that lead to the Feather Water District's pumping structures. Dredging will be performed by long reach excavator and the material removed (approximately 200 cubic yards in the north channel and approximately 300 cubic yards in the south channel) will be placed outside of the channel and stream zone by the excavator. Once the material dries, it will be removed and disposed of offsite. The excavator will remove the material from the north channel from the dirt road on the south side of the channel. The excavator will remove the material from the south channel from two locations. For the area immediately around the pumping structure, the excavator will work from the dirt road north of the inlet channel. For the area closer to the river, the excavator will work from the dirt road south of the inlet channel.
